Burkina Faso introduced prison reform allowing inmates to work in the Agricultural sector
Burkina Faso have taken a giant step towards their prison reform and it’s one that is commendable.

The West African country has introduced a prison reform that will allow inmates and those awaiting sentences to work in the agricultural sector.
It has been gathered that they’ll work there for a reduced sentences which would also boost the country’s production in the Agricultural sector.
Under the new law, each month of agricultural labor equates to a three-month reduction in an inmate’s sentence.
This move aims to rehabilitate prisoners, boost agricultural productivity, and align the justice system with indigenous values.

The initiative also addresses domestic production and food insecurity by utilizing inmate labor.
