Man discovers rebranded expired product after buying from local pharmacy
One citizen of Ghana is an occupant of a complaint because he saw some over-the-counter medications that he bought from a local pharmacy repackaged with a new expiry date.

The product claimed that its FDA accreditation number was FDA 16-3126.
The report said that the product had an extended expiry date of May 2025, even though it originally expired in September 2023.

The man in a viral video explained that he purchased the medication to treat an illness but had noticed at close inspection that the expiry date on the box was far different from the actual expiration.
He has thus called upon the Food and Drug Administration to investigate such cases, clarifying that doing so would be in the best interest of the public.
The discussion was generated on various social media platforms.
Some netizens suggested that the particular medicine would have a long shelf life, while others admonished the FDA for not monitoring expired products circulating in the market.
