Canada also impose 25% tarrifs on American goods as retaliation to Trump’s 25% in the trade war
The United States has initiated a trade war against neighboring countries, Canada and Mexico. This comes after the 25% tarrifs on all products from these countries was initiated on Monday.
Canada had initially threatened to cut power supply and the supply of several minerals into the US should in case this tarrifs and trade war continue. After it had officially been signed, their prime minister has also decided to respond.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in his address to Canada said that although Canadians are “reasonable and polite,” they will however “not back down from a fight.”
Justin believers that the tarrifs imposed will affect the country’s economy and the well being of its citizens too.
In response to the the tarrifs initiated by Trump, Canada is going to also impose 25% tarrifs against a $155 billion dollars worth of American goods.

The tarrifs will be implemented in two ways, the first is to be issues immediately on $30 billion goods, while tarrifs on the remaining $125 billion will be issued within 21 days.
Bringing his statement to a close, Trudeau called Donald “dumb” for what he is doing by imposing these tarrifs on Canada and Mexico.
“They point out that you’re very smart guy, this is a very dumb thing,” Justin said as he concluded his statements.
