“Minneapolis will continue to be a safe haven for undocumented immigrants and for our trans community,” Frey told the house.
“Regardless of who you are or where you can from, Minneapolis is a place where you should be proud to call home,” he added.
This statement goes against the ultimate goal of the United States president who is seeking to rid the country of illegal and undocumented immigrants as well as trans.
Recently, Donald Trump has deported hundreds of illegal immigrants from several states in the US. He also has signed executive orders defining only two genders in the country and preventing trans from participating in women’s sports.
