Johnny Depp is an actor, producer, and musician from the United States. He has won numerous awards and nominations, including a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as three Academy Awards and two British Academy Film Awards.



Johnny Depp was born on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to waitress Betty Sue Palmer (née Wells) and civil engineer John Christopher Depp, the youngest of four children. During Depp’s childhood, his family relocated frequently, eventually settling in Miramar, Florida in 1970. When Johnny was 15, his parents split, and his mother eventually married Robert Palmer, whom Depp has described as “an inspiration.”
