She was the head girl at the College of High School for girls in Port Elizabeth then later worked as an insurance broker. December 18th, 1994 was the darkest day of her life as she was kidnapped near her home in South Africa. As night experienced a transition into another day she had been raped, stabbed, and disemboweled by her attackers.
