American influencer flees Australia after viral video of her running with a baby wombat; Australian authorities are now reviewing her visa

According to Australian Authorities, they are reviewing the visa of American influencer Sam Jones, who was seen in a viral video with a baby wombat.

In the video, Sam was seen picking and running away with a wild baby wombat while its mother chases after her in distress. A man was also heard laughing.

The country is now reviewing Sam’s visa to determine whether immigration law has been breached as wombats are protected in Australia by law.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese added his voice to the criticism. “I suggest to this so-called ‘influencer’ maybe she might try some other Australian animals. Take a baby crocodile from its mother and see how you go there.”
