Anthony LaPaglia is an Australian actor. He is best known for his role as Jack Malone in the television drama Without a Trace (2002–2009).
Anthony was born on 31 January 1959 in Adelaide, South Australia. He comes from a family of 5; his parent and two brothers. His parents are Maria Johannes and Gredio Eddie LaPaglia.
He attended Rostrevor College and Norwood High School. He was denied admission into the National Institute of Dramatic Arts. He however took an acting course at South Australian Casting Agency for a year and a half before traveling to Los Angeles.
Anthony made his acting debut in 1985. He played an episode in the television series Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories. In 1993, he made his debut in the Australian movie industry.
He also played soccer in the National Soccer League in 1980. He played the position of goalkeeper for Adelaide City, West Adelaide, and Sydney FC.
His accolades include Golden Globe Award, Primetime Emmy Award, and an AACTA Award, among others.
