According to reports, Asamoah Gyan already knew about the first marriage of his ex wife Gifty before he proceeded to tie the knot with her
Gifty Gyan is reported to have fallen sick back in 2002 which required that she sought for immediate medical treatment overseas
Asamoah Gyan who was a player at Liberty Professionals at the time , could not afford to pay for her trip aboard
After talks and agreements, an Uncle of Asamoah Gyan who resided in Italy got married to Gifty as means of granting her the needed documents to move to Europe for medical treatment. A marriage which was based purely on convenience and nothing else
Asamoah Gyan according to latest information is accused of taking advantage of the first marriage of Gifty to divorce her , a marriage which he very much new about and agreed upon
The former Black Stars captain’s marriage with Gifty Gyan was annulled after a fierce 5 years banter in court after he told the court he had no knowledge of his wife’s first marriage
However, properties which were already in the name of Gifty was accrued to her by the court
