Kwesi Arthur started writing rap lyrics after talking his time to listen to Canadian Rapper, Drakes debut album, Thank Me later. In 2016 music career journey truly started met management of Ground Up Chale, a social media movement for young artists in West Africa
He went on to he record a single titled Grind Day in their studio, the song couldn’t really make the impact he was expecting and hit the studio alongside senior colleagues, Medikal and Sarkodie to record a remix for it.
The Remix gained him the needed popularity and that was where the name Kwesi Arthur became a household name instantly.
In 2019, he dropped his second EP Live from Nkrumah Krom Vol II which gained a massive two million streams just one week after it’s release.
His Grind Day song helped him grab his first major Award at the Vodafone Ghana music awards when it was adjudged the best Hip Hop song of the year. the same year awards scheme he was nominated for Hip Hop artist of the year and new artist of the year but couldn’t emerge winner.
Kwesi Arthur gained international recognitions with his versatility and fluent rap contents. He was nominated for the 2018 edition of the Black Entertainment Awards BET but the competition was just too heavy for a young artist who just broke into the music world.
