-The federal government says whoever now use twitter in Nigeria would be arrested and prosecuted.

A the ban on twitter in Nigeria by the Buhari led Administration continues, people have taken turns to blast Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership style saying he’s an autocrat leading Nigeria to destruction.

A public affairs analyst in Abuja, Steven James described Buhari as a “low budget Hitler” who wants to gag freedom of speech in Nigeria.

James lamented that the president and his All Progressives Congress, APC, got into power through the use of criticism but now finds it difficult to accept same from Nigerians.

In a comment James made to Daily Post Nigeria, he questioned if Nigeria is still practicing democracy judging from how things are going under the watch of Buhari.

“Should we still call this a democracy? How can Buhari’s government ban Twitter? This government is the one giving room for people to create anarchy in this country” he said

He went further to say “ Buhari and APC came into power by criticising Jonathan and if my memory serves me right, Jonathan was never this high-handed. Our president is just a low-budget hitler who is determined to destroy this country with his hands.”

Thousands of Nigerians have expressed their displeasure over the decision of government to ban twitter.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed announced the suspension of Twitter on Friday during a press conference in Abuja.

The action taken by the Nigerian government now puts the country in the class of North Korea, Iran, China and Turkmenistan that banned access to Twitter.

It is unclear how long this ban will last but the attorney general of Nigeria has said using twitter in Nigeria now is a crime and people who will go against the order will be arrested and prosecuted.
