She received attention for her prominent part in the 2018 miniseries The Little Drummer Girl, after her roles in the 2018 flicks King Lear and Outlaw King. In the same year, Pugh was nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Florence Pugh was born in Oxford on January 3, 1996.

She is the daughter of Deborah Pugh, a dancer, and Clinton Pugh, a restaurateur.

She has three siblings: Toby Sebastian, an actor and singer, Arabella Gibbins, an actress, and Rafaela “Raffie” Pugh, a model.

As a child, she had tracheomalacia, which necessitated many hospitalizations. When Pugh was three years old, her family moved to Sotogrande, Spain, in the hopes that the warmer temperature would help her health. They stayed there until she was six years old, when they returned to Oxford.

Pugh also played Mary in a school nativity play when she was six years old, for which she spoke with a Yorkshire accent.

She was educated privately at Wychwood School and St Edward’s School in Oxford, although she despised the schools’ lack of support for her acting dreams.

Zach Braff, an American actor and filmmaker, is Pugh’s boyfriend.

In the Time It Takes to Get There, a short film he directed in 2019, he directed her.

They share a home in Los Angeles.
