Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has been ordered by the court to pay an amount of $120K plus as interest of $10K to the organizers of the Wildaland festival for not performing at the event.
In 2021, Shatta Wale was amongst one of the many musicians who were booked to perform at the year’s Wildaland festival, however Shatta Wale for reasons best known to him failed to show up after receiving full payment from the organizers.
After a conclusion of the court case, the court has finally ordered the Dancehall singer to pay back the money with interest as well as pay additional GHC20K for damages.
Shatta Wale is yet to respond on the issue and tell his side of the story. This case has however got many people wondering if Shatta Wale also vehemently refused to perform in Wolverhampton as the organizers claimed.
The organizers of the show in the Wolverhampton few weeks ago also accused Shatta Wale of refusing to perform despite receiving half payment of the money.
