Delta plane forced to land after “haze” filled the passenger cabin

A Delta Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing after the passenger cabin of the plane was suddenly filled with haze after the plane had taken off.

The Boeing 717 which was carrying 94 passengers, 2 pilots, and 3 flight attendants took of at the Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport and was heading for Columbia, South Carolina.

The flight was forced to declare an emergency and mate a U-turn back to the airport in Atlanta and land after the passenger cabinet was filled with haze.

After landing, inflatable slides were used to get the people on board of the plane safely. Delta Airlines has since released a statement to apologize to passengers.

The flight crew followed procedures to return to Atlanta when a haze inside the aircraft was observed after departure. Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people,” spokesperson for Delta wrote in a statement.

This is the second mishap at Delta Airlines this year. Recently, one of their planes crashed and flipped upside down while landing in Toronto, Canada.
