Following a late hit, Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel left the game during the Sooners’ 55-24 loss against TCU on Saturday. Gabriel was struck in the head by Horned Frogs linebacker Jamoi Hodge during a scramble early in the second quarter.

The force of the blow caused Gabriel’s head to bounce off the ground. While Hodge was removed from the game for targeting and calling for unnecessary roughness, Gabriel was able to leave on his own.

Dillon Gabriel, a quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners in American football, was born on December 28, 2000. Gabriel started his college career at UCF in 2019, before transferring to Oklahoma in 2022. Gabriel attended Mililani High School in Mililani, Hawaii, where he played football in high school.

In Mililani, Hawaii, Gabriel went to Mililani High School. He passed for 3,754 yards and 38 touchdowns as a senior in 2018, earning him the title of Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year for Hawaii.

In total, he passed for 9,948 yards and 105 touchdowns during his career. Gabriel made a commitment to play college football at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
