Kristin Dawn Chenoweth (/tnow/; born Kristi Dawn Chenoweth; July 24, 1968) is an actress and singer who has worked in musical theater, film, and television. She was honored with a Tony Award in 1999 for her portrayal of Sally Brown in the Broadway production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Chenoweth was nominated for a second Tony Award in 2003 for creating the character of Glinda in the musical Wicked. She played Olive Snook on the ABC comedy drama Pushing Daisies and Annabeth Schott on the NBC drama The West Wing.

For both of these roles, she received a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2009 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She also played Lavinia in the 2012 ABC television series GCB.

Despite several long-term relationships and engagements, Chenoweth has not had any children.

According to an article on Heavy in 2019, Chenoweth said that she doesn’t feel the need to have kids, but that if she changes her mind, she’d like to adopt, because she was herself adopted.
