Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, is a Ghanaian Afropop, dance hall and reggae singer. He is the CEO of Burniton Music Group.
Stonebwoy is an Ewe from the Volta Region of Ghana but has lived almost all is life in Ashaiman a suburb of Accra until he made it from music and relocated to Trassaco a plush residential area in Accra.
Just as his name suggest, ETSE in Ewe means the second born of a twin as the first of a male twin is called ATSU
What this means is Stonebwoy is a Twin and had a brother.
Unfortunately, Stonebwoy’ Twin brother is no more as he is reported to have passed on to eternity in an accident when they were about age 11.
The few times Stonebwoy has opened up on his late brother, it’s always emotional so he avoids questions on that.
Stonebwoy recounted that his twin brother died in a road accident when they were 11 years which led Stonebwoy to have issues with his knees.
Narrating what happened, Stonebwoy said;
Stonebwoy revealed there were four of them in the vehicle which had the accident – himself, his brother, father and sister.
“We were driving from Accra to Ashaiman and we stopped on the shoulders of the road to urinate. When we were about set off for Ashaiman, all that we realised was that a car which was on two lanes driving from the Motorway towards Accra somersaulted and crashed our car,” Stonebwoy said.
It was my father, my sister, brother and me in the car. I was rushed to the 37 Hospital before they took me to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. I was hospitalised for six months.
Stonebwoy has brother now known as Selasi Satekla and a sister known as Sara Satekla.
