Donald Trump signs an executive order to issue a de@th penalty to anyone convicted of murdering a police officer

President Donald Trump during his address to the congress on Tuesday night declared his intentions of initiate the first ever nationwide death penalty in the US.

Although death penalty is allowed in the country, it is often used and determined by the state and not federal government. Currently, only 27 states in the United States issue death penalties.

Trump and his administration have decided to issue death penalty to anyone who is convicted on murdering a police officer. According to him, the policy has been signed and waiting for the approval of congress.

“I’ve alright signed an executive order requiring a mandatory death penalty to anyone who murders a police officer and tonight I’m asking congress to pass that policy into permanent law,” Trump stated.

On Sunday, Trump talked about how he is opened to making death penalty on drug dealers a law in the US, stating that it will be a good way to fight drug dealers and curb their actions.
