Educational background of Rebecca Akuffo Addo

Madam Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akuffo Addo is the current first lady of the republic of Ghana and married to the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, the 5th president of the 4th republic.

Born on March 12, 1951, to Jacob Hackenburg Griffths-Randolph and madam Frances Philipina Griffiths-Randolphs. The father was a judge who also served as the speaker of Parliament in the third republic.

She attended Achimota primary school and later on enrolled at wesley grammar school located at Dansoman in Accra.Then again she continued to the government secretarial school to become a professional secretary.

His academic knowledge propelled her to work as a legal secretary for Clifford chance/Ashurst Morris Crisp, which was a multinational law firm located the United kingdom. Before that she was employed as the secretary of the Merchant Bank of Ghana.

As caring as she is, a foundation which seeks to cater for women’s welfare was established by her. The Rebecca Akuffo Addo foundation, is non governmental and it’s sole purpose is to ensure women and children empowerment.

Her foundation embarked on the ‘Save the child, save the mother” project which established the Mother and Baby unit and a pediatric Intensive care at Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital in the Ashanti Region in the year 2019.

The sympathetic mother who cares to equip her children with handicrafts initiated a program dubbed the ‘Teresa women empowerment initiative’ to train young ladies in soap making in January 2020.

In February of that same year, she made a massive donation of assorted food items amounting to GHc15,000 to the homeless and abandoned children in the streets.
