In 1945, his parents married, and the family relocated to a nearby semi-detached house.

Sir Elton John has been photographed only days before he will perform at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration alongside a star-studded lineup of performers.

The vocalist of Candle In The Wind arrived at Leipzig Airport this week on his way back to Nice on the Cote d’Azur.

Sir Elton had performed two gigs in Germany during his stay, in Frankfurt and Leipzig, as part of his long-running Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

The 75-year-old artist was seen getting out of a car and into a wheelchair before being pushed forward by a staff member as he arrived at the airport. Sir Elton was given the red carpet treatment as he was brought inside the airport, dressed in a Gucci tracksuit and flanked by six security officers.

Sir Elton has used a wheelchair on occasion in recent years, beginning with a sprained ankle in 2019.

‘Not even a sprained ankle could keep me away from seeing one one of the most beautiful museums in the world.’  the singer stated at the time during a visit to the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.
