“Everytime I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa” – US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio
The United States secretary of States Marco Rubio, says they are going to revoke the visas of students who engage in protests and vandalisms, calling them “lunatics”
In a press conference on Thursday, Rubio in a press conference stated that they have revoked the visa of Rumeysa Ozturk among other students for being Gaza advocates.
In his statement, Rubio also revealed that at least 300 students have had their visas revoked. “At some point I hope we run out because we’ve gotten rid of all of them,” he continued.
“If you apply for visa to enter the United States and be a student, and you tell us the reason why you’re coming is not because you want to write op-ed, but because you want to participate in movement that are involved in things like vandalizing universities… we are not going to give you a visa,” he explained.
