French footballer, Benjamin Mendy has filed a lawsuit against his former club, Manchester City for refusal to pay him weekly wages during his trial.
The defender was accused of r@ping a girl in a hotel room back in 2020, followed by other r@pe allegations two years after .
Mendy, pleaded not guilty to both charges and was found not guilty by the jury at Chester Crown Court .
Man City is reported to have halted payments of £100,000-a-week wages in September 2021.
The French international is therefore suing the club for unlawfully terminating his weekly wages without his concern .
