Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite, are gearing up to launch Chapter 3, Season 2’s end-of-season extravaganza.

The end-of-season event, dubbed Collision, will be released on June 4th, with a 9pm BST start time for UK participants (which is 4pm ET for US players). This, like other end-of-season events, is a one-time-only affair, so you’ll need to sign up early to ensure a spot. The Collision playlist will be available 30 minutes before the event begins (8.30 p.m. BST), and servers are expected to be extremely busy. Indeed, if you want to make sure you’re not locked out of the event, log in around 8 p.m. BST.

According to a recent Epic blog post, as well as several social media teasers, the event will involve massive mechs fighting.

Epic Games explains more: “This event will require all hands on deck, so squad up in a party of four and strap in for go-time.

“The ‘COLLISION’ playlist will be available in Fortnite 30 minutes prior to the start time for players to suit up. Players without a full Squad will have their group filled with others to assist them during COLLISION.

“Content creators and players wanting to relive their daring moves and heroic experiences should take steps to record and archive the event since Replays of it will not be available.”

Anyone who logs in from 1pm BST on June 4 will get a Collision loading screen and lobby track as a bonus. In the item shop, you can also get several Mecha Weapons Team Outfits.

After the event, the game is anticipated to be offline for server maintenance as Epic prepares to launch a new season and Battle Pass.

In the hours leading up to the big event, fans are encouraged to finish any remaining Season 2 quests from the Battle Pass.

This features unique tasks for the additional Prowler skin from Season 2. You’ll also want to collect any remaining Omni Chips in order to unlock new Omni Sword Pickaxe versions.

“Note that any unused Battle Stars will be automatically redeemed for the earliest available rewards, but unspent Omni Chips will be lost when the season ends.
“As with any season, — Quests and rewards from Packs like the Golden Touch Quest Pack will carry over to the next Season.”

While the actual start date for the new season is unknown, a recent leak has given fans a solid indication of what to expect.

According to reports, the Battle Pass will include a Darth Vader skin as well as a bonus outfit featuring Indiana Jones.
Needless to say, Express Online will continue to update this developing story as fresh information becomes available.
