The people of Accra, Tessano to be precise have performed funeral rites for the late English and Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton.
The event was held in the capital city of Ghana as part of the final funeral rites for the legend Sir Bobby Charlton who passed away on the 21st of October 2023 at the Macclesfield General Hospital in the United Kingdom.
The congregation were seen in black and red apparels to signify their grief. Singing and dancing also took place at the funeral ceremony.
Many Ghanaians have however expressed their disbelief at the event . Why should a Ghanaian community be performing funeral rites for an English born legend seems to be the mind boggling question asked by many .
Others have wondered if the organizers of the funeral have any unknown ties with Sir Bobby Charlton of England .
