-The protesters stormed the Accra High court in their numbers wearing their customized shirts written, “FixTheCountry”.
-When they got to the entrance of the court, they were prevented from entering by the police.
-According to the police, how the protesters were presented at the court is against the court’s etiquettes.
Reports gathered indicates that a case was filed against the “FixTheCountry” protesters by the Ghana Police Service.
Today, 5th of June, 2021 was when the Accra high court began the proceedings of the case as the protesters were invited to monitor the case.
As the case was about to commence on 9 am, the jugde was made to hold onto the case after he was informed by the lawyers that, the protesters were prevented from having access to the court.
According to the protesters, they did not do anything to violate the force and orders in the court as claimed by the police officers.
Speaking to one of the reporters for JoyNews, the leader of the protesters said she was manhandled by the police after she decided to take a video of the incidence.
The Greater Accra region’s ACP, Kwesi Ofori gave explanation of the action taken by his men.
He said, coming to the court’s premises with such customized T-shirts and in their numbers are against the law.
However, he suggested they were supposed to come individually.
