Heathrow Airport closes for the day after fire outbreak leads to power outage
Britain’s busiest airport, Heathrow, will be closed until 23:59 on 21 March. This news follows after a nearby substation fire triggered a major power outage.
At least 1,351 flights to and from the airport in west London could be canceled today, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.

A significant fire at a nearby electrical substation has led to an unreliable power supply at Heathrow Airport. The incident has also caused power outages to over 16,000 homes in West London.
Passengers are told not to travel to the airport ‘under any circumstances’, and more than a thousand flights will be disrupted.
