Despite her young age, Anna Kendrick was an incredibly talented performer, who first made her name as a child actor in the New York area. At just 12 years old, she played a supporting role in the community theater show High Society.

Her career started as an actress in theater productions, where she earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Her film debut came in 2003 with the musical comedy Camp. During this time, she became well-known and gained further acclaim with the critically-acclaimed role she played in the Twilight Saga.

Her career in film continued to grow with the comedy-drama Up in the Air. The film earned Kendrick a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role, and her stardom in the Pitch Perfect series followed suit.
