In 1976, Tina was sixteen years old when she fled Houston for Dallas. In her memoir, My Love Story, she explains how she and Ike met and then separated. During their time apart, she abused Ike and stayed in a bloodied hotel.

When she eventually divorced him, she only took his performance name and two cars with her. When she left him, she was still quite young.

Although she was only 18 years old when she left Ike, Tina was still a teenager when she married Ike. She subsequently had two sons with him, Raymond Hill and Craig Raymond Hill. She gave birth to her first child at age 18 and later adopted him.

The two were separated at the age of seventeen. In 1991, she and Ike divorced after a decade. The relationship was strained and unstable, but Ike and Tina eventually became superstars. Their story was adapted into the 1993 biopic, What’s Love Got to Do With It?

While the two were superstars, they also suffered from a broken marriage. In their separation, she went on food stamps and grew up with their four children.

Ike also controlled the publishing rights of their music, which he later sold for millions. Moreover, she was forced to move into an assistant’s home. After her separation, Ike’s men burned down the house and car, and they shot through the windows.

After releasing his hit songs with his wife, Tina, Ike began to battle with drug addiction. He tried to kill himself several times, but eventually gave in. He later committed suicide after a cocaine overdose.

While his love life was turbulent, his career was also. After divorce from Tina, Ike began to record more music and released a new album called “The Best of Me.”

The two were married for 16 years, but the couple had no children. Instead, they adopted a son, Craig. During the marriage, Ike became increasingly abusive and Tina had to leave the marriage in 1978.

Ike turned his back on Tina and re-built his solo career away from his business ventures. In fact, the singer had sold over-PS200 million worth of records. Ike later died from a heroin overdose.

In 1977, Ike and Tina divorced. He received two cars from the divorce, as well as the rights to his stage name. Afterwards, Ike turned his attention to music, and the new band was called the Ike & Rhythm Revue.

In 1983, Ike and Tina released “Let’s Stay Together,” a hit song from his first solo album. The following year, Ike’s record company gave the band PS200 million for the song “A Fool in Love.” Unfortunately, Ike died of a cocaine overdose in 2007 – he was 54 years old.
