A magnum champagne bottle is 14 inches (0.3 m) tall. The magnum champagne bottle is 1.5 liters. The bottle is also 4.5 inches (0.1 m) wide.

A bottle of magnum champagne weighs 50 Ounces. it is double the size of a standard champagne bottle. It is equivalent to 8-12 glasses of wine.

Although a magnum champagne bottle is larger than a normal champagne bottle, it however not the biggest there is. Subsequent sizes are;

  • Methuselah: 6 Liters – 203 ounces, 22″ in height – (8 bottles)
  • Salmanazar: 9 Liters – 304 Ounces – 25″ in height – (12 bottles)
  • Balthazar: 12 Liters 406 Ounces – 28″ in height – (16 bottles)
  • Nebuchadnezzar: 15 Liters – 507 Ounces, 31″ tall – (20 bottles)
  • Melchoir: 18 Liters – 608 Ounces – 36″ in height – (24 bottles)
  • Solomon: 20 Liters – 676 Ounces – (26 bottles) This format is most often reserved for champagne

The Melchizedeck is the l;largest cham,apah=gne bottle there is. However, the biggest champagne bottle ever made is called Maximus {130 Liters (184 bottles, 15 cases)}. The Maximus was created by Beringer out of their 2001 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon for a charity auction.
