Step 3: Download custom ROM / Stock Rom (To flash your phone manually)

By now, you must have unlocked your Bootloader (if necessary and possible), gotten the drivers for your device on your pc, and enabled USB debugging mode. Now the next step is to obtain the software you intend to flash your phone with.

Flashing your device with the same stock Rom, A higher or lower version of the Stock Rom, or with a custom ROM, the process involved is quite the same thing. You would have to search online for the Rom you intend to use and download it, saving the file in your SD card present on your phone.

Note: For stock Roms, be sure to download them from the official site or trusted sites like XDA Developers. Avoid third-party sites at all costs, unless where it is absolutely necessary. Similar caution should be applied for Custom Roms. Be sure to download a Rom Built specifically for your phone model, as flashing another version might brick your device.

Hold the volume down + power button together to enter recovery mode, albeit this varies by phone type. If your phone won’t boot into recovery mode, it’s likely that you’ll need to use a different combination, which you can discover on the manufacturer’s website.
