The mother of Selinam Mortey, one of the contestants for PRESEC, Legon has revealed that she prayed for her son to become first in the grand finale of the National Science and Maths Quiz and God made it happen.
According to her, Swlinam Mortey has been a brilliant student from childhood and was always first in class so he prayed to God not to make him and his team second but first as always.
She revealed that Selinam took inspiration from his big brother, Selasie Mortey who was one of the two contestants that represented PRESEC Legon in the 2019 finals of the NSMQ and placed second.
According to her, Selinam has been learning from the notes and textbooks of his senior brother, which directed his path to this great fate.
Madam E. Mortey revealed that his son has a dream of attending Stamford University and she believes that will come to pass, declaring, “I will be going to graduation there.’
She also advised parents to always support their children and try their best to provide the necessary resources needed for their development.
