“I will resign if it means peace for Ukraine” – Volodymyr Zelensky

The president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, has made a claim that he will resign effective immediately if only it will mean peace for Ukraine or membership into NATO.

In an interview with a reporter, Volodymyr Zelensky was asked if he would give up his presidency.

“If it guarantees peace for Ukraine, if you need me to resign, I am ready. I can exchange it for NATO,” Zelensky told the reporter.

When asked about his relationship with Trump, Zelensky commented that he never had a good relationship with him and also feels it’s not right that the US and Ukraine losses their relationship because of that.

“My relationship with Trump? It never was in such best way. You know our countries have strategic relationship, and we’re partners. And I think it’s not in our rights as presidents to loose partnerships between our countries,” he replied.

Trump and Zelensky may not have the best relationship yet. Trump recently called Zelensky a “dictator without elections.”
