The first person to have invented computer Antivirus is John McAfee.
He was born in September 18, 1945, in the United Kingdom.

Her mother was a British woman and father an American soldier, he thus holds a dual citizenship as being a British and an America.
His father was an abusive alcoholic who committed suicide when John was 15 years old.
Deeply affected by the problems in his family, John McAfee also started drinking and taking drugs just like his late father.
Notwithstanding, he was also naturally brilliant so he managed to excel academically inspite of his addictions.
Despite a rough path while growing up, John McAfee proved to be a good student growing up.
Education
As rightly stated above, John was a smart kid growing up regardless of his addiction to alcohol.
He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Roanoke College in 1967.
After his bachelor, He was later accepted into the Northeast State Louisiana State College for his PhD in mathematics. However, his degree was terminated because of his unacceptable sexual behavior.
He was working on his PhD when he got thrown out of the college for having a sexual relationship with a student he mentored
Career Path of John McAfee
McAfee grew up to become a highly influential figure in the field of computer security, he was a world renowned expert on internet surveillance, global hacking scandals and threats, and personal privacy.
After his failed attempts of getting a PhD, he got a job as a programmer at NASA’s Institute for Space Studies in New York City.
McAfee easily found jobs at reputed organizations despite his bizarre behavior and addictions.

In the mid-1970s, he got employment as an operating system architect at Xerox. He then joined Computer Sciences Corporation as a software consultant in 1978
After a number of jobs, he put his entrepreneurial skills to good use and founded McAfee Associates, a computer anti-virus company(McAfee) in 1987 which he later sold to Intel in 2010 after various ownership changes.
Political Career
In September 2015, John McAfee announced that he will run for the 2016 U.S. presidential election as a member of the newly-formed Cyber Party.
He unsuccessfully sought the Libertarian Party nomination in the 2016 and 2020 US Presidential elections.
Controversy and Legal issues
In 2008, McAfee lost major part of his wealth due to the global economic meltdown.
In 2012, he was under investigation for the death of one Gregory Viant Faull, who was killed in November 2012 in Belize where both men lived.
He fled Belize and sought political asylum in Guatemala, where he was arrested on charges of illegally entering the country.

He was deported back to US his country but even in the USA McAfee still made headlines for “bad reasons”.

In 2019, a Florida court ordered McAfee to pay $25 million (£17.9 millon) to Mr Faull’s estate in a wrongful death claim, which he refused to pay
In July of that year, he was released from detention in the Dominican Republic after he and five others were suspected of travelling on a yacht carrying high-calibre weapons, ammunition and military-style gear, officials in the Caribbean Island said at the time.
John McAfee’s Death
On June 23, 2021, John McAfee was found dead in his Barcelona prison cell, a few hours after the Spanish National Court ordered his extradition to the United States on criminal charges filed by the US Justice Department’s tax division.
