Noel Clarke is a British actor, screenwriter, director, and comic book writer who was born on December 6, 1975. He rose to notoriety for his role as Mickey Smith in Doctor Who (2005–2010), and he also wrote and directed the films Kidulthood (2006), Adulthood (2008), and Brotherhood (2016). [3] He wrote and produced the TV series Bulletproof (2018–2021), in which he plays Aaron Bishop.

Clarke made his film debut in I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead (2003) and has since starred in a number of films, including Centurion (2010), 4.3.2.1. (2010), Fast Girls (2012), Storage 24 (2012), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), I Am Soldier (2014), The Anomaly (2014), I Kill Giants (2017), Mute (2018), 10×10 (2018), The Corrupted (2019), Twist (2021), SAS: Red Notice (2021), and Twist (20

Clarke co-founded Unstoppable Film and Television with friend and fellow actor Jason Maza in 2015, and the two have written, directed, and starred in a number of projects together.

Clarke was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Most Promising Actor in 2003, the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award in 2009[4], and the BAFTA Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award in 2021.

However, the latter was suspended on April 29, 2021, following complaints of verbal abuse, bullying, and sexual misconduct by 26 different women.

Clarke was born to Trinidadian parents Gemma (née Clarke), a nurse and part-time laundrette worker, and Alphaeus Baptiste “Alf” Clarke, a carpenter, in Notting Hill, West London. He has a half-brother who is older than him. His parents split shortly after he was born, and he was raised in a council estate in Ladbroke Grove by his mother, who still resides there.

Clarke discovered that his maternal great-grandparents emigrated to Trinidad from Saint Vincent, while his paternal grandmother, Menelvia Clarke (née Bedeau), emigrated from Grenada, when he appeared on the BBC genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are? in 2018.

Clarke studied media at North London University and worked as a personal trainer before enrolling in acting training at the Actors Centre in London.
