Jane Hume is an Australian politician who has served as the Liberal Party’s senator for Victoria since 2016.

Since December 2020, she has served as the Morrison government’s Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services, and the Digital Economy.

She took on the additional post as Minister for Women’s Economic Security in March 2021. She worked in prominent roles in the banking, finance, and superannuation sectors before being elected to parliament.

Hume was born in Melbourne, Australia.

She went to Lauriston Girls’ School while growing up in the district of Armadale. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne in 1992.

Hume has three children with her ex-husband Andrew Hume. Andrew and Jane married for a very long time before they divorce. Issues leading to their divorce is not known.
