– Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew is set to be handed the Captain armband in Morocco friendly.
– This becomes necessary after the main Skipper and his two deputies were all excluded from the friendly match
The Black Stars of Ghana will later today clash with their North African counterparts in a friendly match meant to put players in shape ahead of the world cup qualifiers and African cup of Nation Championship.
Ghana will be without some key players in the name of Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso and Captain Andre Dede Ayew who ended his season late and failed to join his colleagues due to Swansea’s promotion Playoffs.
He however joined the team but not expected to take part in the game. However Dede may be available in the upcoming game against Ivory Coast.
The absence of these stars means the next big name in the team currently will be Jordan Ayew who will spearhead Ghana’s attack and also be the leader on the pitch in todays game.
The Black Stars will play the Atlas Lions of Morocco in Rabat later today June 8 before hosting the Elephants of Ivory Coast in Cape Coast on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
