Ken Kaneki: Intriguing story of the main protagonist of the Tokyo Ghoul series

In this article, we explore the life of Ken Kaneki.

Who is Ken Kaneki?

The main protagonist of the Tokyo Ghoul series is Ken Kaneki. He is now Touka Kirishima‘s husband and Ichika Kaneki’s father. Previously, he was a student at Kamii University studying Japanese literature and living a very regular life.

This swiftly altered once Rize Kamishiro’s kakuhou was implanted in him, transforming him into a one-eyed ghoul. Kaneki is the world’s first artificial one-eyed ghoul.

His one-of-a-kind half-ghoul condition subsequently influences the Quinx concept. After working as a part-time server for Anteiku, he learns how to survive as a ghoul and becomes known as Eyepatch.

He had a major personality change after being caught by Aogiri Tree, and after escaping, he created a gang with the objective of defending people dear to him and exterminating those who threatened his place of belonging. The distinctive look of his kakuja form earned him the moniker Centipede.

Two years after his defeat by Kishou Arima, he assumed the name of Haise Sasaki, a Rank 1 Ghoul Investigator, and mentor of the CCG’s Quinx Squad. His memories were originally lost to him, but he was able to reclaim them during the Tsukiyama Family Extermination Operation. Six months after the procedure, ghouls began to refer to him as the Black Reaper ( Kuroi Shinigami).

He declares himself the One-Eyed King (Sekigan no) after beating Arima and Eto and revealing their combined plot to develop a one-eyed ghoul who could stand as the hope for all ghouls. Kaneki has subsequently established the Goat organization.

Kaneki evolved into the Dragon (Ry) as a consequence of a scheme carried out by Kichimura Washuu, a massive, uncontrolled kagune that devastated major areas of Tokyo. He has subsequently been removed from the monster appendage thanks to a partnership between Goat’s surviving members and the CCG.

When the fragments of Dragon started spewing a poison that harmed both humans and ghouls, Kaneki delved down into the oviduct and, after a tough struggle with Kichimura Washuu and Dragon, neutralized the threat.

After the Defense of Tokyo, Kaneki and Touka are now happily married, with a daughter and another kid on the way, and humans and ghouls are finally united.
