Language is never a barrier in music- Keche Joshua references Asake songs

Keche Joshua , a member of the musical duo “ Keche”, has debunked the notion that language is a barrier when it comes to music.

According to the Ghanaian musician, music is dynamic and does not depend on a particular language to become a global hit .

Speaking in an interview with renowned journalist Geovani, Keche Joshua stated emphatically that Nigerian singer, Asake makes 85 percent of his music using Yoruba lyrics but Ghanaians choose to jam to his songs.

Moving on, he also referenced the one of the biggest songs in Africa which had instant global recognition, “Jerusalema” which had about 90 percent Swahili lyrics .

For these reasons , Keche Joshua discounted the false notion that language can be a hurdle for the global success of songs.
