Barcelona Superstar, Lionel Messi has reached a verbal agreement with the club to continue his stay at Nou Camp for the next five years.

The player in doing so has also accepted to take a 50 percent pay cut to put pen on paper any moment from now.

On July 1, The six time Ballon D’or winner officially became a free agent after he failed to agree terms over a renewal before his previous Barcelona contract expired on June 30.

As usual a top player like Messi considered by many as the Greatest to ever step his foot unto the pitch will attract interest from European heavyweights.

The 34 years old came close to a sensational exit from the Nou Camp but couldn’t become a reality due to his ridiculous Release clause of €700m.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have been the front-running clubs interested in signing him. Messi also wants to one day play in MLS and a move to Inter Millan to share the same league once again with Ronaldo in Italy wasn’t ruled out.

But after winning his much sort after International trophy with Argentina days ago, Messi is back focused on his contract issues and could be announced a Barcelona player once again.
