Since the beginning of Christianity, tithing has been a fundamental part of the religion. Christians pay 10% of their income as part of their commitment to Christ.
Over the years, Christians have been committed to this religious rite, some church leaders have gotten greedy over the act claiming more money from their members.

In a recent post, a user on X has lamented about his mother’s church refunded her tithe because the money is not enough according to the church.
According to him, the mother gave a 4k tithe in church during a morning mass. The tithe was later returned by the church saying it was too small and that she should give at least 10k.

The post has drawn massive attention with several people questioning the direction some Christian churches are heading towards lately.
