Masahiro Nakai is a Japanese television host, actor, news presenter, and radio personality.

Nakai was born on August 18, 1972, in Kugenuma, Fujisawa. He is the youngest among his 3 brothers. There is not much information about his early life and childhood.

Masahiro began his career in 1986 at age 14 as a band member. He was recruited into a boy band called The Skate Boys. He was later chosen to be the band leader of a new band called SMAP. In 1988, he made his acting debut with a role in a series called Abunai Shonen III. He also appeared in  Aji Ichimonme (1995), Densetsu no Kyoushi (2000), Shiroi Kage (2001), Suna no Utsuwa (2004), Ataru (2012), and  Watashi wa Kai ni Naritai (2008).

On television, he launched his first tv program, Nakai-Kun Onsen. He also became a presenter of Kohaku Uta Gassen. He has also worked as a sports commentator and a sportscaster.
