Chris Walker is an English actor best known for his appearances in the BBC drama Playing the Field and the BBC soap series Doctors as Matthew Mullen and Rob Hollins, respectively. Walker has been nominated for several awards for his portrayal of Rob, and in 2010, he won the British Soap Awards for Best On-Screen Partnership with Jan Pearson, who plays his on-screen wife, Karen Hollins.
Walker made his television debut as Nick Shaw in the ITV criminal thriller The Bill, which he performed from 1985 until 1987. In 2007, he returned to the series in a different capacity. From March to May 1997, he played Ray Thorpe, a decorator, in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street.
