American football wide receiver Antonio Tavaris Brown Sr. was born on July 10, 1988, and is now an unsigned free agent. Brown, who was raised in Miami’s Liberty City, attended Miami Norland High School.

At Central Michigan University, where he played college football, he was recognized as an All-American punt returner in 2008 and 2009. Brown, who was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, led all players in the league in receptions from his first year in 2010 until 2018.

The Steelers made it to Super Bowl XLV during Brown’s first campaign with the organization, but they fell to the Green Bay Packers. In ten games, he had 16 receptions for 167 yards to cap off his rookie season. He made NFL history by having over 1,000 yards receiving and returning in the same year during his second season.

Brown was chosen as a punt returner for the 2012 Pro Bowl as a result of his efforts. He became the only receiver in NFL history to accumulate at least 50 yards and five receptions in every game of a season in 2013.

Although Brown’s on-field performance persisted over the ensuing years, including leading the league in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018, his relationship with the Steelers deteriorated over time, particularly with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and he eventually asked to be traded.

Brown is the father of two daughters and four sons.

With Chelsie Kyriss, he has three sons, a daughter, and two more kids by two other women.

Brown reregistered for online classes at his alma mater, Central Michigan University, in September 2019.
