Mohamed Salah is an Egyptian professional footballer who captains the Egypt national team and plays as a forward for Premier League club Liverpool. He is recognized for his finishing, dribbling, and speed and is considered one of the best players in the world and among the greatest African players of all time.
Salah began his senior career in 2010 with Al Mokawloon, before moving to Basel in 2012 and winning two Swiss Super League titles. Salah won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Premier League Golden Boot three times, and finished third in the Best FIFA Men’s Player award in 2018 and 2021.
Salah also won the 2018 FIFA Puskás Award for his winning goal in the 2017–18 Merseyside derby. He also holds the Premier League record for most goals scored in a 38-game season (32) and is Liverpool’s ninth-highest goalscorer all-time.
