Milan Lucic hit on Matt Duchene video.

Milan Lucic isn’t afraid to deliver jaw-dropping hits. He never backs down in the face of a challenge and enjoys delivering a massive open ice-hit. Lucic was named one of the NHL’s hardest players a few years ago, and he proved it last night in the thrilling game between the Flames and the Predators.

When Matt Duchene approached the offensive zone with barely minutes to go, the Predators had a 4-3 lead. Milan Lucic destroyed Milan Lucic with a big hit despite the fact that he didn’t have the puck.

Duchene’s helmet flew off, and you can only imagine how badly he was injured. Lucic is a rock-hard player who didn’t take the hit lightly, and Duchene struggled to get up from the ice.

Mark Borowiecki jumped to Duchene’s defense right away, skating over and throwing his gloves in front of Lucic.

But nothing transpired after that, as Lucic was only sent to the penalty box for a minor interference.

In the first period, Lucic and Borowiecki threw down their gloves for a fight, which Lucic won. So it’s reasonable that Borowiecki didn’t want the game to be replayed.

The Flames killed off a late penalty play and even knotted the game with the extra attacker on the ice. Tkachuk knotted the game at 4-4 with 0.1 seconds left on the clock, and Hampus Lindholm delivered the Flames a 5-4 triumph in overtime.
