Nana Aba Queries When Prez Akufo Addo will pay the 3million cedis he promised to pay for the Conjoined twins surgery

Nana Aba Anamoah has directed a tweet to President Akufo Addo about when he will fulfill a promise he made to take up the cost of the surgery for two Siamese twins.

In June 2021 this year, news broke about how two Siamese twins needs a staggering 3 million cedis in fees to be separated.

The General manager of Ghone Tv Nana Aba Anamoah and her EIB put things together to raise funds to support the parent whose daughters are in need of the urgent medical treatment.

Various means were created to solicit funds from the general public for the surgery.

In the process, President Akufo Addo through his Chief of Staff Frema Opare stepped in to take up full cost of the surgery which is 3 million cedis.

The chief of staff in a statement to the media said;

The president takes this is a historic opportunity, one that will save lives, save the family from the problems that they not be able to deal with in the future, but also build capacity for Ghana.

It is my pleasure to announce that the president has said all related cost of this exercise, the State is willing to take over and is ready to take over the cost and make sure that there is no mishap,” she announced.

“What you need is timeous release of the funds so that you get your equipment on time and everything. That is guaranteed. We are also going to back you in prayers. I will also call on all Ghanaians to back our doctors with prayers because this is a historic moment, and they need not just our money, but they need our moral support,” she added.

It has been a week since this promise was made and from the tweet of Nana Aba Anamoah who was instrumental in raising funds for the surgery of the twins the said money has not been paid.

She has taken to Twitter to inquire from the President when he intends paying the 3 million cedis for the surgery to take place to save the lives of the twins who are joined at the head.
