Kante’s team mates have been speaking about the kind of personality he is off the field and when they arrive for training and the latest one is from Kai Havertz who played with the French international for only one season now but already wowed by his personality.
Speaking in an interview while on international duty, Havertz said “When you see [Kante], you have to smile. He is a great personality and a great person,” Havertz told reporters on Friday.
Havertz also spoke about Kante’s influence in games and how reliable he is to the extent he feels he will cover him up with his quick recovery tackles if he should loose possession.
“And a great football player. As an attacking player, I’m always happy when he is on the pitch. You can make a lot of mistakes because he always wins the ball back. He’s fast, agile and always gets his leg in.That’s why it’s not so nice to have to play against him in the first match of the European Championship, of course.” The German international added
