Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene has publicly rejected the appointment of Kofi Kodua Sarpong as the chief of Ofinso .
Speaking from his residence, The Asantehene stated that the appointment of the former CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation cannot be recognized because of his disapproval.
According to the Asantehene , proper diligence did not take place to ensure that the right person was chosen as Chief of Ofinso. To make matters clearer, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II read over a two paged document that enlisted the family tree and other descendants of the Queen mother who are also eligible for the throne .
He lastly stated that the decision to appoint Kofi Kodua Sarpong as Chief of Ofinso is a terrible decision that would not be certified under his watch.
