“Our land, our minerals, we own it” – Burkina Faso starts gold refinery after nationalizing majority of the country’s mines

Great things are ongoing in Burkina Faso following the capture of power in a coup led by Ibrahim Traore.

Current news from the country reveals Burkina Faso’s gold refinery has started operating.

The gold refinery is reported to be in full operation after nationalizing the majority of the country’s mines.

During the launch of the refinery, President Traore made it clear the lands and minerals belongs to the country and must be owned by the country and not other individuals

“Our land, our minerals, we own it” he said.

Traore have been doing very well since he assume office as the country’s leader after a successful coup.

Recently, he made some changes to the prison department by given prisoners the chance to have a reduced sentence.

The reform means prisoners are going to be given the chance to work in the Agriculture sector for a reduced sentence.

One of the very main reasons for this reform is to boost the food production in the country.
