Pastor bitten by Black Mamba during prayer
A Black Mamba bit a 27-year-old pastor in South Africa at Hazelmere-Kwazulu Natal while he was busily engaged in a marathon of prayers.
The incident happened on Saturday morning, February 22, 2025, at the time the victim was praying near a river.

Around 06:41 hrs, a call from a member of the public was made to the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA)
Operations Centre to urgently seek medical assistance for the man.
He stated he was praying next to a river when he was bitten by a large black snake on his left foot.

The man was adamant that it was a Black Mamba.
He displayed some symptoms of Neurotoxic poisoning and extensive swelling at the bite site.

The man then walked a few meters from the river and sought assistance from Security Officers who contacted RUSA for assistance.
He stated he was praying next to a river when a large black snake bit him on his left foot.

Diagnosis of protruding clues showed aspertia poisoning and swelling-all the site locations of the bite were swollen.
The Charity of Christ that was behind the Hazelmere Dam wall in Hazelmere, where RUSA Paramedics found the man, told them he had been praying with people across a river.
